Is everything you use vegan and cruelty free?

 

Yes, all products we use to both color and style hair are free from animal derived ingredients and are not tested on animals.

Is everything you use "organic"?

 

No, while we do use some products with natural and organic ingredients, like Surface Pure Color, not all the products we use are labelled as "natural" or "organic". If you're interested in learning more about the misnomer of "organic hair color", we always suggest you do your own research, this article could be a good place to start.

Is your salon LGBTQ+ friendly?

Some of us here at Wild Heart identify with some of those letters. We don't judge who you sleep with or what you have in your pants. You're welcome here.

Do you use Pulp Riot?

Yes, for clients with resistant gray and some vivid colors, we do use Pulp Riot. Pulp Riot started out as an independently owned vegan and cruelty free company which was then purchased by L'oreal. Pulp Riot has promised it still maintains it's values, does not use animal derived ingredients, and does not test on animals.

Are children allowed in the salon? Do you do kids hair?

We kindly ask you do not bring children under 10 to the salon unless they are receiving a service. It can be very dangerous to have an unoccupied child in the salon, between the products used to color hair, sharp implements, hot tools, etc. We do provide services to children of our adult clientele, on a case by case basis depending on the child's maturity and willingness to receive the service. If you have any questions about these policies, please feel free to ask.

What product lines do you use?

We love to stay up to date with the newest trends and technology so our product list is ever changing and ever growing. For styling and retail we use our favorite line, Saints & Sinners. For color we currently use Surface, Trionics, Arctic Fox, Iroiro, Manic Panic Professional, & Pulp Riot.

Do you have a cancellation or late policy?

Yes, we kindly request AT LEAST 24 hours notice for any cancellation. Please text your stylist directly or call the salon in the event you need to cancel. If less than 24 hours notice of a cancellation is given, a 50% deposit will be required to book your next appointment. This deposit will go towards the total of your appointment. If that appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the deposit is forfeited. If you make an appointment and do not show up and do not give any notice, you will not be able to make any further appointments. We understand life happens, enough notice gives us the ability to try and fill your appointment. When a client no shows or cancels last minute, our stylists are not able to fill that appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may or may not have to reschedule. We thank you for understanding and if you have any questions at all, we’d be happy to answer them.

Are you eco-friendly and sustainable?

We do our best to be as eco-friendly as possible, we are a Certified Green Circle Salon, this means we recycle and re-purpose 95% percent of our waste. We also use Ecoheads to not only filter our water for healthier hair, but to also reduce our water usage by up to 65%! Our business cards are printed on 90% recycled paper. We're always trying to think of new ways to be kinder to our planet.
